Happy Mother’s Day!
What did you get for Mother’s Day?
I received the MOST IMPORTANT gift of them all this day…a HAPPY child!
One that woke us with another water gun fight (thankfully it was not until 9 this time). One that hide my coffee. AND put salt in it too.
But one that smiles easily. That knows her limits/needs, can communicate them and is getting better and better at mood regulation. One that is imaginative.
Heck, that is more than loads of ‘normal’ kids can do.
And I am blessed and honored to have been entrusted with this special gift. Not just on Mother’s Day but 365 days a year for the rest of our lives…and I believe beyond.
Oh, I love all of my children…and yes, I was just this passionate about motherhood with them too. Though in different ways perhaps. Maybe that is why Fate and the goddess entrusted their special one to me? I don’t know but I am glad they did.
So HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY to all the moms out there, and grandmoms…aunts and mothers of the heart too. I hope you feel as blessed this day as I do.
Oh…and yeah…she painted this box for me too. Something I can hold in the years to come when this phase of my job is done as it is with the adult ones now.
