Oh…and we have frogs…and frog spawn…lots and lots and lots of them…
The frog pond was a family project too. We excavated it…after discovering frog spawn on the law last year and being told by neighbors and someone who used to live here that there had been one before. I found the edge of it while I was mowing the grass and ran over it.
And we began to all work on digging it out. A bit here and a bit there. It took months. It caused Cookie to have a spell of bursitis that forced him to use a cane for a few days. It made my joint pain worse at times. Even Jaler das Birdz had pain in the ankle that he broke a couple of years ago.
But we kept digging…and then self-directed learning on YouTube about how to do it…an order to Amazon for liners and rocks and plants and stuff. And we did it. Now all of it is paying off…
